A timeless reinvention for a classic Brisbane home with strong bones and a brand-new heart
Some homes don’t need a full reinvention — just the right vision to uncover their true potential. This project in The Gap is a perfect example. The home already had strong architectural bones, but its exterior was showing signs of wear, and its layout no longer suited the lifestyle of its growing family. With a strategic renovation and extension, we were able to breathe new life into the property — elevating its appearance, enhancing its function, and ultimately creating a space that feels every bit as warm and welcoming as it looks.

EXTERIOR MAKEOVER + MASTER SUITEThe home’s façade had lost its spark over time — faded tones and aging materials were masking its great potential. We introduced a crisp, modern colour palette that brought clarity and elegance to the structure. Clean lines, balanced proportions, and careful material selections now give the home a refreshed street presence that feels timeless yet contemporary.
A carefully designed Master Suite extension was added to enhance livability while maintaining the home’s architectural harmony. It’s seamlessly integrated, giving the family extra space and privacy without compromising flow or curb appeal. |

THE BRIEFThe brief was clear: give the home a much-needed facelift, add space to suit a modern family, and enhance the outdoor areas for year-round use.

DESIGN OUTCOME
This home in The Gap is a powerful reminder of how thoughtful design can transform not just a space — but the way it’s lived in. What was once tired and dated now feels renewed, cohesive, and entirely suited to modern family life. By respecting the original structure while layering in new life through palette, planning, and purpose, we’ve helped create a home that feels as good as it looks — and will continue to do so for many years to come.
