But as decades passed, time had taken its toll. The home — originally built around 30 years ago — had aged rapidly. Its finishes and layout no longer suited modern living, and what was once bold had become tired and outdated.
In 2020, our wonderful clients approached us to help reimagine this property through a significant renovation, extension, and restoration. Together, we embarked on a design journey that would span years and bring this once-iconic home back to life — bigger, brighter, and more beautifully tailored to its new owners.

PRESERVATION MEETS PERSONALISATIONRather than erase the past, our design sought to celebrate and reframe it. We kept select elements that gave the home its identity such as curved forms, generous verandahs, and the original entry sequence while stripping away the parts that had dated or failed functionally.
New additions were carefully crafted to feel like a natural evolution of the home, not a bolt-on extension. From the outside, the expanded layout feels proportionate and cohesive, with materials and forms chosen to blend seamlessly. |
